Air force Vaccncy Eligibility
Flying Branch
- Candidates are required to have successfully cleared their 10+2 level examinations with a minimum of 50% marks in both Mathematics and Physics.
- Candidates are required to possess a minimum of a three-year degree in any discipline from a recognized University, attaining a commendable score of 60% or its equivalent. OR
- Attainment of a BE/B.Tech degree, constituting a four-year curriculum, from a recognized University is mandatory. Prospective candidates are expected to exhibit a commendable academic record, securing a minimum of 60% marks or its equivalent. OR
- To be eligible, candidates need to have passed Section A and B examinations of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India from a recognized university with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent.
Ground Duty (Technical) Branch
- Applicants must possess a minimum of 50% marks in both Physics and Mathematics at the 10+2 level. Additionally, a four-year degree graduation or integrated post-graduation qualification in Engineering/Technology from a recognized University in the relevant disciplines is mandatory.
Ground Duty (Non-Technical) Branches
Weapon Systems (WS) Branch
- Candidates are required to have successfully completed their 10+2 education with a mandatory achievement of at least 50% marks in both Mathematics and Physics. And
- Attainment of a three-year degree in any discipline from a recognized university is mandatory. A minimum of 60% marks or an equivalent qualification is required to meet the eligibility criteria. OR
- The candidate must hold a BE/B Tech degree (Four years course) from a recognized University, meeting the eligibility criteria with a minimum of 60% marks or its equivalent.
Administration & Logistics
- Having successfully completed the 10+2 and a Graduate Degree (minimum three years degree course) in any discipline from a recognized university is a prerequisite. A commendable achievement would be a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent. Additionally, clearing the section A & B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India from a recognized university with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent is also accepted.
Accounts Branch
- Passed 10+2 and done graduation in any of the following streams with 60 % marks or equivalent from a recognized university:-
- (a) B. Com Degree (Min three years course).
- (b) Bachelor of Business Administration (with specialization in Finance)/ Bachelor of Management Studies (with specialization in Finance)/ Bachelorof Business Studies (with specialization in Finance)
- (c) Qualified CA/ CMA/ CS/ CFA.
- (d) B.Sc. with specialization in Finance.
Education
- Successfully completed the 10+2 and Post-Graduation requirements with a commendable 50% in any field, encompassing integrated courses that provide a Post-Graduation degree (without the option for exit and lateral entry). Additionally, achieved an outstanding 60% in the Graduation phase, irrespective of the discipline.
Meteorology
- Successful completion of 10+2 and B.Sc. degrees in Physics and Mathematics is required with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent. Alternatively, a four-year graduation in Engineering/Technology with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent in the relevant streams is also accepted.

Air Force Selection Process 2023
- The Online examination will consist of objective-type questions and will be in English only.
- Three marks will be awarded for every correct answer.
- One mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer.
- The subjects, time allowed and maximum marks allotted for the AFCAT exam will be as follows:

English
- Comprehension, Detect Errors in Sentences, Sentence Completion/ Filling in of correct words, Synonym/ Antonym, Cloze Test or Fill in the Gaps in a paragraph, Idioms, and Phrases, Analogy, Sentence Rearranging, Substitution in a Sentence/ One Word Substitution.
Numerical Ability
- Decimal Fraction, Time and Work, Average/ Percentage, Profit & Loss, Ratio & Proportion, Simple and Compound Interest, Time & Distance and Races (Trains/ Boats & Streams), Area and Perimeter, Probability, Number System & Number Series, Mixture & Allegation Rules, Clocks.
